Sarah, my friend who was in Toyama last year, was recently nominated for a prize at a big film editor's award ceremony. She entered a student editing contest, and was one of the three finalists. She didn't win the prize, but she got to dress up and go to the award ceremony. She said it is like the Oscars for film editors. Too bad she didn't win. But I am sure it is still great for her to be a finalist.
