Apologies for not having posted sooner. Things have been very hectic at work. I spent three days in Newcastle at a conference on plagiarism. It was an interesting conference, and I made a lot of good contacts. I was part of a symposium at the end of the conference, but many people had left by then. Still, I suppose it went fine from my point of view.
Victoria and I went to Salzburg and a tiny town near Salzburg called St. Gilgen. The trip was a 5-year reunion for Victoria's friends from when she was studying abroad in Salzburg, so about 9 people were there. St. Gilgen is really pretty and the weather was perfect while we were there. We are still awaiting summer in England. I had to wear a sweater the other day. Originally we had the Salzburg trip figured as our only non-wedding trip so far. However, Chris proposed to Gisella during the trip so it had a weddingish theme too. Guess that means there will be another wedding sometime next year.
Tomorrow we are heading to the U.S. for my cousin Edward's wedding. We are heading to D.C. for several days, and to the mountains. Then we will be in Raleigh the week of the wedding (the 29th). Finally we will go to the beach for a week to rest before coming back.
