Today I taught the first year students at my junior high school for the first time. They were much more talkative and interactive than the older students. Also, when I had games, many of them jumped right in, while I had to force the older students to get up out of their desks.

I found that I could not cover as much material in the classes because the students need everything simplified quite a lot. It is probably a good thing this is the case though, because otherwise the class might have ended too early today. At least for tomorrow I will have a better idea of how long things will take.
