This weekend we have yet another trip planned. We are going to Hiroshima and Fukuoka. There's a holiday next Tuesday, so we are taking a vacation day on Monday to take advantage of the potential four day weekend.

It's not cheap to go so far away. I think it will cost us about $300 in train fares round trip. Still it will be fun to have another vacation.

Fukuoka is the northernmost city in Kyushu, the third largest island. It's supposed to be a great place for foreigners and have a real cosmopolitan feel. I'm excited. We have a reservation at a chain of hotels that we've discovered. They are really great. We stayed at one in Sapporo, and this one is even cheaper.
