The new ALT, Jo, seems to be having a little trouble with her lesson plan today. She says she's done the same lesson plan at her other school and it worked well. Here it isn't working too well. She's asked me where the highest building is, and the nearest train tracks. I take those things to mean she isn't very happy with the classes today.

She's from Ireland, and pretty friendly. I think she's just having a little bit of trouble adjusting to teaching. I think my students aren't at as high a level of English as her students are. After all, the elementary kids I teach every week end up going to her school, and they're superstars at English.
