I don't know if I've ever mentioned this before, but there are tons of vending machines in Japan. I estimate there is a vending machine about every hundred feet. Most of them are outdoors, on the street in front of a business or a house. It's really insane. Tons of them are Coca-Cola ones too. They offer hot and cold drinks, which is nice during the winter. They are over-priced in general at about 120 yen ($1.00) for somewhat small size cans. However, they are quite convenient.
