Yesterday there was a really big lottery jackpot, so I played the lottery. I won, but not the jackpot or anything big. Just 8 pounds 90, but I am happy. But I still made a profit, since my two tickets cost 3 pounds. In the end no one won the jackpot, so it will be even larger next week. As Victoria said though, why does having such a large jackpot make more people want to play? After all, for most people 1 million and 10 million would have the same effect on their lives. I suppose some of it is just hype and excitement. After all, I wouldn't normally play the lottery.
